PETE GARDNER MEMORIAL HIGHLIGHTS MOC A TEK MEMORIES NIGHT

PETE GARDNER MEMORIAL HIGHLIGHTS MOC A TEK MEMORIES NIGHT ON MAY, 27TH!

Coming this Saturday, May 27th is a big night of action planned at Bethel Motor Speedway. HigFab Chassis presents Moc A Tek Memories Night at the speedway. Moc A Tek Speedway was located in Lakeville, PA on a campground. The track was in similar configurations as Bethel but with a dirt surface instead. The track ran weekly from the 60’s until 2004 when it was closed due to EPA runoff issues. Sadly, the track never reopened again and still sits on the property in disrepair. We hope to bring back a reunion of sorts of former drivers, crews, and fans who lost the speedway they were a part of.

Highlighting our Moc A Tek Memories show will be the Pete Gardner Memorial which is a special dirt sportsman race. The race will go the distance of 56 Laps which is the number Pete used. The race pays $1,000 to Win and is also part of the Sportsman Asphalt Challenge Series that is sponsored by Tri-Co Electric and PJ Degracia Contracting.. The winner will also receive a unique “Poleshot Position”for their qualifier in the “Summer of 69”.The race this Saturday is the first of three races on the series that is dedicated to Bethel Motor Speedway and encourages other Sportsman racers to come in and compete against our drivers. The challenge series will have it’s own point fund payout. $500 for first, $ 300 for second, $ 200 for third. Fourth thru twelfth will range from $ 150 to $ 50 respectively.

Also on this night will see the vintage modified club in action at the speedway with a heat and feature scheduled. Our regular track classes will all be in action except for our BMS Modifieds and Beginner Bandoleros which both have the night off. The street stock feature winner will also be awarded a “Woodstocker Poleshot Position” for their qualifying event scheduled on Sunday, August 6th. The Woodstocker event pays $1069 to Win.

Being that it is Memorial Day Weekend, All of those who have served in our armed forces, both active and retired military will receive free grandstand admission with their valid military photo ID card. We sincerely give thanks to those we have lost fighting for our country’s safety and freedom and also to those who have served honorably along with those currently active who are providing us with patriotic protection from the evils in the world.

Some former Moc A Tek drivers that are planned to be in attendance and racing at Bethel Motor Speedway. They include multi-time modified Moc A Tek Track Champion “The Iceman” Dom Roselli # 80 Sportsman, “The Mentor” Jeff Richardson # 50 Sportsman, the versatile hard charger Eric Moon # 22E Sportsman / 18 Pro Stock, veteran multi-feature winning full fendered driver Jimmy Sykes in the # SIX Pro Stock, and vintage modified driver Tom Laner Jr. # 229
